Cuddly or cunning, everyone loves cuteness
The Ape Pavilion is home to a diversity of primates: the pensive and smart orangutan, meaning “the person of the forest” in the Indonesian language; the Western lowland gorilla, the most widespread species that look like a miniature of “King Kong,” the chimpanzee known to be closest to human, the Mandrill, the largest of monkeys with a fierce but interesting face; the Anubis baboon, the vegetarian money is also called “Olive” baboon for its greenish gray fur, and the hamadryas baboon, whose adult male looks like it’s wearing a cape in silver white.
In the Ape Pavilion, visitors can meet with primates in the indoor hall or the outdoors field depending on the season and preference of the animals.
