Meet with rare and unusual animals native to South America

South American Pavilion is home to many animals endemic to South American continent. Featured animals include: the llama, a domesticated South American camelid, widely used as a meat and pack animal by Andean cultures since the Pre-Columbian era, and the yellow anaconda, a non-venomous boa species endemic to southern South America, one of the largest snakes in the world that prey mainly on animals,. Indoors, visitors can observe animals such as the capybara, which is a giant cavy rodent, and the Geoffroy’s spider monkey as well as alligators, etc. while outdoors the insectivorous giant anteater, also known as the ant bear, the llama and the guanaco ? all native to South America,

South American Pavilion is divided into the indoor hall and the outdoor field where visitors can find unique animals originally living in the Amazon rainforest and Andean Mountains. Exotic animals such as the South American tapir and the six-banded armadillo are extremely rare outside their natural habitats.
