What’s inside the kangaroo’s pouch? Perhaps love!
The eastern gray kangaroo and red kangaroo
The Australian Pavilion is home unique animals native to New Guinea and Australia: the eastern gray and red kangaroos, commonly found all over the Australian continent, wallaroos that are smaller and thick-set than kangaroos, large flightless birds cassowaries native to the tropical forests of New Guinea and northeastern Australia, and the emu, the second largest living bird by height after the ostrich but a roadrunner at 50 km on average.
At the Australian Pavilion, visitors can compare and contrast kangaroos and wallaroos and better understand the ecological relation by observing the ratites, or flightless birds, the emu and the cassowary.
