The most ferocious apex predators of their environments
The puma cat, also called the cougar is a large cat of the subfamily Felinae native to the Americas. This solitary animal, slender and agile, travels large distances in search of food. The jaguar, a large felid species and the only extant member of the genus Panthera native to the Americas, is the third biggest in the world after tigers and lions. It is also critically endangered animal.
Jaguars are more similar to leopards and have a pattern on black and brown spots on their yellow golden fur. By size of the body and strength, jaguars are larger and stronger. Cougars on the other hand have a tan, brown or black fur without patterns and boast the highest jump among the cat family.
